Destini Santos gave her heart to Jesus Christ as a freshman in college while she was playing on the LSU Women's Basketball team. Destini immediately got involved in a local church and when she graduated college she completed an one year internship with Bethany Church located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Destini eventually got into coaching and would lead team and staff bible studies.Destini also had an opportunity to work for Fellowship of Christian Athletes at TCU. While Destini was coaching at Quinnipiac University she felt led to start a podcast that would minister the gospel and started Beyond the Court Ministries in March 2020.
Destini received her Masters degree in Communication and is the author of What Every New Coach Should Know: Analysis of Coaches' Goals for Organizational Entry/Assimilation, through the Goals-Plans-Action Theory and Socioemotional Selectivity Theory. Destini enjoys helping new coaches be successful in their careers and offers seminars regarding her research done in this area that can help new coaches on all levels and for any sport. Destini was a Mcdonald's All-American coming out of High School and ranked by ESPN as the number 2 point guard in the nation. She received a full ride scholarship to play at LSU from 2008-2012. Unfortunately Destini's career was cut short due to a career ending knee injury her senior year in college. Destini's faith in God helped her overcome that challenge and she was the LSU's Women's Basketball recipient of the 2012 Inspiration Award.

Destini had an opportunity to join the LSU Women's Basketball coaching staff in 2014 as a Graduate Assistant Coach. In 2016 Destini joined the Quinnipiac Women's Basketball team as an Assistant Coach and coached there from 2016-2020. During her time at Quinnipiac, Destini had an opportunity to coach a team that made it to the NCAA Sweet 16.Destini currently coaches basketball for middle school and high school kids.
Coaching Experience
Destini was an intern at Bethany Church from 2012-2013. She also served in the Young Adults ministry at Bethany church while leading small groups. When Destini got into coaching she continued to lead bible studies for both LSU and Quinnipiac women's basketball team and staff. It was while coaching that she started the Beyond the Court Ministries in 2020.Shortly after, Destini started to work for Fellowship of Christian Athletes at TCU where she ministered to the female athletes and women coaches on TCU's campus along with FCA events. Destini joined the staff of One Community Church in 2022 as the Spiritual Formation and Gap Internship Director where she helped others grow in their relationship with God through the Word of God and teaching Spiritual Formation classes. Destini is now devoted full time to Beyond the Court Ministries and enjoys serving at her local church.
